I purchased this lens used last week and I love it.
Very nice photo Jimmy. I keep looking at these used but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I keep convincing myself to save the money toward a 70-200 VR. Pictures like this, however, make me think it may be time to get off the fence.
The colors, and sharpness in this photo are wonderful. What settings were you at when you shot this? Looks like you used some fill flash also, yes?
Thanks for the pic.
Beautiful shot, lovely color and sharpness, and pretty girl. A hard combo to beat!
I'm also on the fence re this lens. Really need one for sports photography, but the budget says "hold off". Did you acquire the AF-S model or the earlier AF model, if you don't mind me asking?
Yep, it's a great lens (push-pull version used here):
beautiful shot Jim!
Love mine, unless you need to shoot low light fast shutter speeds and hand held, the 80-200 is the way to go. I was out at a drag race yesterday, just going through the shots now, got some great shots all hand held.
wonderful image Jimmy. Which version of the 80-200 is yours? I have the AF-S version adn it does a great job
This is the push pull version (old) I purchased it used a week ago and it is in pristine condition. I was going to get the 70-200VR but I got such a great deal on this lens that I decided to go with it.
Well what a fine image from it! I hear great things about that version.
Great color and sharpness. Beautiful shot.
