Yesterday while taking some macro photos of my corals in my reef tank I noticed a red spot on each photo when I zoomed the picture. The spot is in the exact spot on each photo and is bright orange!

Unfortunately I bought this camera at Circuit City but did buy the perfmance plan which covers wear and tear, but can this be fixed?

The camera is a Nikon D40 and is only 3 months old......

Any info would be great or suggestions...

    Thanks

    S.

  2. what iso were you shooting at? if you were shooting at something high, this is quite normal and it may even disappear over time. if you're shooting at 200 or 400, this could pose a problem.

    Nothing to worry about.
    Typical with any digital
Just a quick fix in PP

When and if it goes to Nikon they will map it out

  4. does the D40 have a red focus assist.....sorry, couldn't help myself
