I think I like my new toy!

    These are the first shots I took with the 200-400 VR that I got over the holidays! What a monster lens!!!:biggrin: Now I need to find the time to get to some of the wildlife refuges around here and really work with it. I haven't even had time to mount it on a tripod yet - these were all quick hand held shots on the D2H to test the VR. They are not cropped from original shot.

    1/1000s f/4.0 at 400.0mm iso200 (sure wish he hadn't been in that pole shadow!)
    original.

    With the TC17 attached:
    1/350s f/8.0 at 650.0mm iso200

  3. You are going to love that lens it is so versatile and the VR function is incredible on it.l A fine piece of glass if there ever was one.

    I know what you mean, Kevin! I was having the same reaction to all the posts with this lens and the 500 for the past several months. I'll try to keep from posting too much from this lens so I don't create too much LL for others :Wink: (yeah, right!) !! :biggrin: :Devil:

    I agree, Mike! I haven't had much time to use it yet, but I already see that it's going to be on my D2H a lot!
