You , Too???? I got the same notification yesterday. Who would have thought lightning would strike twice within the Cafe????

  8. The sad part is they wouldn't try this if there weren't sufficient greedy and stupid people to fall for this.

The ruse referred to in Sandi's post is so old they even have a number for it..."the old 419 Nigerian Scam."

  9. There was a piece in the news last fall over here about this. They were talking to two individuals who had swallowed the whole thing, hook, line and sinker! One of the two interviewees lost over 50,000$ You'd think people would be a bit wiser!

Personnaly, I get about 1-2 such e-mails per month (slightly diffrent variants...same goal!)

  10. It is just me, or they can't even do basic math right? 530000 x 100 = 53M, not 5.3M!

  11. Mmm, yup, but not surprising. The U.S. has a legal counterpart . . . election campaigns. :frown:

  12. We're nudging close to political discussions; I'd leave that be if you don't mind. The subject was Nigerian scams.

    Thanks, Rich

  13. Hey, Jarrell with all that money you could buy a real grown up railroad.

Speaking of railroads, it is about time you post an update on your
    Choo-Choo train progress.. which I enjoy seeing.

Sorry Jarrell, I hate being the one to wake you from your fabulous dream, but I think you have blown your winnings with this post. The message you received states “For security reasons, you are advised to keep your winning information confidential till your claims are processed…”

Darn, and I would have loved to see what you could produce with some new gear :frown:

Hey Jarrell, in the unlikely event that this lottery scam is actually legit, would you consider buying the Nikon Corporation and making it the photography powerhouse we all hoped it would be?

  18. congrats, but, don't go spending it just yet, if you know what I mean.
