The closest thing could find are the Dark Eyed Junco's,
but they do not look like the other DEJ's in my yard.
Any ideas? Are they female DEJ's maybe?

This is fun, I like to look for bird ID that I do not know. As I look thru my books I have found a pix of the "Oregon Junco". The book said that it is a rare straggler to the East, but that some turned up at bird feeders most every Winter. If you have a rare bird hotline in your area you might post a photo there and get some local pro help. Your yard just might become the hot spot this week.

  4. My thought is a not-quite-adult female Oregon Junco. The Slate Colored seems to not have the color banding on the chest and wings, both from my books and the Cornell link.

    Cool.
