ID Please

  1. These birds are common on my bird bath and feeder. I assumed they were crows, til I saw a picture of a boat-tailed grackle. The bright yellow eyes seem to confirm. Any info is greatly appreciated!

  2. Looks like a female Grackle to me. females have regular tail, males are completely iridescent black with boat-tail

  4. The fly in the ointment is that Florida Boat-tailed Grackles have brown eyes. This could be some intermediate plumage of Common Grackle.

  5. Why is nothing ever simple!!! I just read that the yellow eyes of the boat-tailed are in NE Florida. We are in the south.
