ID please.

    I Went to NYBG a week ago, while waiting for rain to stop in the conservatory, shot this flower inside. I guess it's a kind of daylily, although it's planted in the water. I used 18-70 lens with SB800, 1/8 power output.

  2. It certainly belongs to the lily family but I have never seen anything like that before. What a delicate beauty!

    Thanks, Harry. I have found the name of the flower. It's called Spider lily.

    Beautiful shot. These grow wild down here.
     
  5. Spider Lily (Hymenocallis caroliniana)

    There are many Spider Lilies but this is the one. That is the trouble with Common Names.:biggrin::biggrin:
