You must be planning one heck of a disk array to get the full advantages of RAID 3 !. I's not something I've ever seen used. Normally folks run either 0, 1, 0+1 (or 1+0) or 5. You may have to hunt around a bit to find a controller that will actually support RAID 3.
I'll be interested to find out how this "beast" turns out.

Well Dougie, good things in life are not always easy to come nor to achieve... but with a little help from a friend of mine with a callsign Wizard13! (can you see the big picture here...) and lots of luck, I think will manage...

To be honest, I like RAID 3 for its performance, but my second best is RAID 10. As for the controller, I'm thinking of Adaptec SCSI RAID 2005S.

I love the 24-120 VR VR VR. It is a fast focus lens.

Images have been good from this lens. I like the weight. Easy to handle.

Thank you for asking. I would recomend it.

Primes may be sharper, however, I can not always use a tripod and Vr saves the day for me.

We are not talking far fast flying birds :>)) Maybe seagulls.
