this lens has doubled my IQ and can't be man made (imported from Mars)....
It is capable of capturing images that frankly look better than they did live.

These were barely shapened at all (in fact I have to be careful to not oversharpen them) and cropped and that's it.
Many of these are 50+% crops

  2. These are outstanding Randy! If I ever NEED a lens with reach I'll definitely keep this one in mind. Gosh I hope Sophie doesn't take up any sports soon, I'll have to save for a year or sell a kidney to afford one, LOL!

  4. Randy,
You are killing me. I've been trying to take decent photos of my son's soccer games on the weekends (with my 80-200), and the shots you keep posting are absolutely blowing even my best shots away. The lens is obviously fantastic, but you've obviously done a great job of dialing in the proper technique to use it.

Great shots - thanks for sharing.

    Randy,

Those are terrific shots. I've tried some with my 300 f4 (non-AF-S) but have had difficulty with the slow auto-focusing. You've inspired me to return with my new (to me) 80-200 AF-S and try again.

    Mike,

These are special. What PP do you use and how much sharpening did you do?

    Thanks

  12. Do you rent it out for weekends, when your other loves get jealous? :)  Your timing on some of your shots is magical!
