Such a nice image! I only wish the top of the cap was also sharp, which makes me question using f/4.5 unless you wanted to make a point of rendering the cap out of focus.

What created the blue lines on the cap? Post-processing error? The natural look?
Thanks for the feedback Mike In hindsight I probably should have stopped down some more, and the blue lines most probably are a result of decreasing unwanted highlight hot spots

Some mushrooms will turn color when the flesh is exposed to the air due to oxidation of the pulvinic acids. They can produce blue, red or black colors. It looks like the flesh of that one is exposed where the blue lines occur. Psilocybe mushrooms turn blue when bruised, but that one doesn’t look like one of those.
