I have a Nikon D100 and miss a lot the orientation feature
I do batch rotate for all the verticals captures and its inconvenient
I'm just curious if this is a firmware capability then why Nikon don't do it!?
Or does it require a hardware intervention?
Thx,

"orientation sensor "

Paul, thx for your input
I know the feature exist on newer Nikons like d70 d2x
but it lacks on my old D100 I just wonder if it possible to achieve this
feature by a Nikon firmware update? and if yes why Nikon are not coming
up with a fix firmware?
Thx,

Hi Ilan,

The orientation sensor is some electronic, perhaps electro-mechanical, gadget that sits in the camera. If your D100 doesn't have it out of the box, no firmware update can give you this feature.
