I was hired by a local photography company for wedding work and here are a few from my first attempt. I was not the lead photographer at the wedding, as I'm in training. Many of my shots were grabs, so please excuse the fact that some of the shots the individuals are looking away from me. I was focused on light and camera settings. What is your opinion of the skin tones? Please offer feedback. Thank you!

  4. Very nice job, and congrats on the new position!

  5. Congrats on the new job. Your skin tones look nice and are very consistant. I love the cake shot!

  6. You handled your exposures very well, on the dress... esp. against an outside window.

Well done. This is the only image of those you have shown that I would not use for a portfolio. Why? Because it is the only one that says: "I am not the lead, see, they aren't even looking at me". At least it does not look like he is. The others don't say that. Getting formal images is one of the hardest thinks about being a second shooter since they should not be looking at you then. I often leave the area while they are being done so as not to confuse the wedding party.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the replies everyone. The photography company posted the pictures from the wedding on their website and they used several of my shots, to my surprise. Needless to say, I was very excited.

Greg, what did you do to get the images to come up, versus the link showing?

    Thanks!

Congrats, there is no reason they should not have used them.
