Impala In Botswana and Zambia

  1. More of the animals we saw during our trip to Africa - the Impala is about the size of the Deer we see in the US.

    A small herd taken from the front porch of our tent (Luxury tent, mind you :cool:  ) in Stanley Camp in Botswana - D-70 80-400VR @400mm:

    "Look at all those long lenses in the safari vehicle today" - D-100 70-200 AFS-VR +1.7TC @120mm:

    "Right profile now!" - D-100 70-200 AFS-VR +1.7TC @340mm:

    "Its tough for the lions to sneak up when we stand like this" - D-70 80-400VR @400mm:

    "Lets get out of here" - D-100 70-200 AFS-VR +1.7TC @340mm:

  2. great shots both of you. Of this bunch the impalas standing looking in opposite directions (#4) and the one Nan took (#6) have outstanding qualities.
