All taken with the D200 at ISO 500
135mm (202mm), 1/60sec
Pretty nice Paul, was VR on/off?
VR was on! I couldnt hand hold at 1/60 at 200mm else!
Paul, Very nice shots. What flash were you using and how were you using it (bounce, diffusor, etc.)??
in for info... these are good shots. I had some less than stellar shots at a wedding recently using a 70-200, so like i said... in for info.
Flash used was the SB-600 with Stofen omni bounce, at 45 degrees. +0.7 EV on the flash.
Hope that helps?
I find myself using my 70-300 VR more and more lately.
Here is one with the 70 - 300 at 200 mm, ISO 1600, 1/15 second.
I've had number of nice low light shots with this lens. This also shows off how well the D50 does at ISO 1600.
I'm trying to understand.... if you used a flash how can you call them "low light"? I always considered a low light exposure to not have any flash.
Low light AF, with a slow lens, the flash was in rear mode, so was not acting as direct flash. But it was mainly its AF accuracy i was refering to.
impressive 1/15sec hand held!
Thanks. I was sitting with camera braced on my knees. There were maybe 6 good shots out of about 50.
shots like this confirm that i was correct in getting rid of the 80-200 f/2.8 for the 70-300 VR. with a D200 body, this lens performs great!
(i am packing light these days and didn't like lugging around a 2 pound brick)
Perfectly exposed. Good job morcguy!
Very nice shot!
I just got this lens and it works great even in low light on my D200, though I am a bit miffed the lens came in with dust specs on the inside of the front lens from the Nikon factory. I can't decide whether to keep with dust or send in for cleaning as you can never tell what may happen these days!
