Great shots, Alex. I really love the first one. The family sitting on the beach, the mother sheltering her child from the world...wonderful! Looks as though you had a nice trip!

I like these, Alex! The first shot is a great example of two extremes. The harbor city looks like it would be full of great photo ops. But my favorite is the last shot. The spontaneity is fantastic! It looks like there's an interesting story there as well!!

Great shots Alex!
But the first pic definitely indicates a focus problem

Seriously, I for my part, although very liberally thinking (not in a political way) would not recommend any woman to go topless in a culture where some very conservative movements still play an important role.

harry,

Focus problem solved :

Image removed by moderator

I don't know if this is allowed to post over here. If not please let me know.

My wife (who is also very liberal thinking) didn't liked it.
Although the turkisch people are more modern than we think, i think it's a bit of lack of respect.

Kevin,

thanks for your kind words.
In picture 3 it's my sun and daughter.
My son is a real comic and just can't act "normal"
he was trying to kiss her in his "normal"way.

Wow! What software did you use for that. The new reverse/swap-focus plugin?
If a software could do that you could earn a lot of money. Well, in certain TV-serials they already can

I am not sure now about the posting rules concerning nudity, but this one is quite decent anyway.

You're probably gonna want to just link that last 1

A simple edit can fix it. Someone from work could get into real trouble viewing it at work. That said, love all the shots. The harbor shot is fantastic, and the kiss shot is priceless!
PS, how DID you do that focus switcheroo, anyway?

ahh HA! so that's the secret

For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how else you would've accomplished that. As far as the bare breast shot goes, it didn't bother me one bit, but I have heard of ppl atwork getting into trouble from viewing shots like that. Hey, there's wasn't much to see anyway!

I think the replacement shot with the women in dresses is more effective. The view of them, fully focused and in view, seems a better "fit" with only a side glancing view of the sunbather. It highlights the disparity two cultures more effectively. Good idea taking two shots!

Hi gordon,

the bay looks very nice, but alanya is a very crowded and touristic place.
We were in Bodrum and Icmeler before. Smaller city's with more culture. Untill now i prefer Brodrum.

Great shots, good looking kids, good eye. What did I miss, btw? Another case of "Nipplegate"? :D

Hi Chris,

I had my thoughts with the orther one.
First it is not allaowed to post over here.
But second i was trying to visualise the 2 cultures i saw on the beach in turkey.
In that case the second one (wich you prefer) doesn't show those turkisch people very well. maybe i should have choosen more DOF.

Will give it another try next year.
