Impressive RAW / Capture experience

I had a pretty impressive experience with Capture. My original post is in the Portrait Forum, but I thought that it might interest some folks here in the Technical Discussion Forum.

I have to agree, but with reservations. If you have any areas in the luminosity range below about 50, any attempt to boost the EV by more than about 1/2 stops results in noticeable noise, at least on the D2H. Of course, this isn't a problem with Capture, but with the D2H.

I agree that there is no replacement for a well exposed shot and doing what I did will NOT result in a perfect photo. But I do find it impressive how much you can get back in Capture.
