I know that he knows the Coolpix line isn't so bad. Frustrating sometimes maybe... :)

I NEVER tire of seeing your pics, esp the older ones - you can master anything, even a pinhole camera, Jarrell! *LOL*

Jarell, you make me wonder why I am fooling around with a D1X
In fact, I remember most of the pics from quite a while ago, especially the mandolin player is imperishably engraved in my mind.
Cheers

Well I never.

These are the first pictures I have seen from this SUPERB PHOTOGRAPHER. Absolutely gorgeous and such an artist.

WHY have I just bought a D2H???? Please post some more so those of us who are new to your work can appreciate your expertise.

Best wishes.

Hey, thanks for the reminder, you Georgia Peach 8). I've still got a few 5700 shots in my Favorites gallery...

But once I got my hands on the d70, there was no turning back. I tried using the 5700 while my d70 was in the shop, but it wasn't very satisfying. Fortunately, I got the slr back last week, just in time to put a new Nikkor 28-70/2.8 on it . Here's some samples.

Hey, let's see more of you and your photo-artistry on the Cafe, Jarrell. I've always found your work inspirational. Ever since the NTF days, it's been something to shoot for :).

Nice of you to say, Gordon, but I'm really not in Jarrell's league. Over the years, his examples have helped me undertand that photography is more about composition and lighting than it is about gear, and motivated me to shoot for higher standards.

Uncle Frank, I'm glad you got the D70 back all safe and sound! You have some superb work here.. :)
I must say that I personally find the Coolpix line frustrating to use at times, especially in very low light, and the noise level and resolution are not up to a good dslr, but I also find that I'm a little more 'creative' with the more compact cameras for some reason. I haven't figured that out yet. Anyway, here are a few more 'oldies'..

Jarrell and U. Frank, what a lineup of wonderful shots. I have seen many of them but they are just as good recycled as they were initially. Thanks for sharing your talent.
I have to agree with Gordon. Just superb - all of 'em :!: :!:
