Industrial art

Discussion in 'Macro, Flowers, Insects, and Greenery' started by Uncle Frank, Apr 4, 2007.

  1. I enjoy a nice little sideline, taking the occasional picture of circuit boards for a Silicon Valley electronics company. The images are pretty clinical.

After I completed an assignment this week, I reflected on the accidental beauty of some of these industrial pieces, and tried to use my 60 micro in a less conventional manner.

Nicely symmetric and pretty colors Frank! They make good abstracts. I'll bet these could hang on some boardroom walls or corporate lobby!

You have a high capacity for outstanding pictures, especially picture 2.

Love the last one Frank, very nice.
  6. Thank you, folks, for taking the time to comment. It was fun to trying to find creative perspectives on these high tech widgets.

Did you build the softbox used yourself??

    Great captures.

  8. Thanks, Ken. I didn't use a softbox for these. #1 and #3 were taken in a light tent, #2 and #4 were taken in a light tent.
  9. Great, I like the last one very much, maybe because I like the color blue - but it provides an interesting view.

Did you shoot #1 with your CP995 again  ?

  10. These are really neat Frank - I agree that they could be sold as office art pieces. Maybe Google will take interest! ;-)

    Very creative, Frank!

High powered LED's - maybe for automotive taillights?
