A friend of mine asked me to take some photos of her FX45 because she wants to sell it. Eventually, I did take some shots for her to post in her ad. But first, I took the photos that I wanted :biggrin: These are my faves from the series. SOOC..

Could you briefly describe how you set-up and took these shots?

those things are pretty quick.. unfortunately, the fuel tank meter goes down even quicker. lol.

Sure!

I used two SB600s in 15X15 ALZO softboxes in the front corners of the car, about 10 feet away. One was at full power aimed pretty much at the grill, the other was at full power, aimed at the tire. I think the shots are in the f11 to f18 range (i cant remember, but will be happy to check) there was still a good bit of light in the sky, I just wanted to really under-expose it. Strobes were fired with skyports.

wow. i mean, ...wow.

if you told me the pics were taken inside a studio, i would've believe you. wow.

thanks for posting the additional information on set-up too!
