My B&W conversions have always left me disappointed. I've even tried silver FX pro without much luck. Inspired by Terri and Mike, I tried my hand at a couple I've wanted to convert in the past.

1. This one looks great in color, but I always thought it would look good in B&W.

2. Yes, I needed a shave, but I grabbed this one as I was setting up my white paper backdrop for some photos of family friends.

These really look very nice.
The range of black and white available for portraits is huge.
How black do you want blacks and how white do you want whites. Pick your contrast ranges. The choices are endless- and lots more you can play with.
These are really nice, especially if they are how you want them to look.
If you want to try something- try warming them up just a little- that is my favorite look for portraits. Just a little.
