Interior Shots for Cars

Jul 3, 2009
Hey guys. I've been wondering some time now, for what's the best way to to shoot interior shots for cars?
I come down to it and there's 3 types: 4 seaters, 2 seaters, and convertibles.

I'm assuming a wideangle will probably be needed here, so I have my 11-16mm ready to go.

My next question and concern is, how to stablize the shoot? With only little room inside the car, I find it difficult to position a tripod in the backseat.
Also, what are some of the options in dealing with what is seen outside the windows when looking from inside? (white/black blanket over the windows, scenary, photoshop gradients, etc.?)
Lastly, how to deal with ambient lights? Cars I will be shooting will most likely have bright LED Domelights, some cars will have ambient LED lights on the floor and maybe other areas. How do you deal with that?

I have a Manfrotto tripod and have used its versatility to sit in there, and of course use a remote to fire the camera

I also bracket so everything has a good chance of being exposed properly since there are so many crevices lol

Also don't forget to expose the floor board!!! Easy to miss
