Is this a dragonfly...

    or something else? I took this shot this afternoon, but not 100% sure. Any bug experts out there?

    Not a bug expert, but it sure looks like a dragon fly to me. I can tell you for sure that it is a very good capture. :wink:

    Thank you both! Frank for your kind words and Martin for the genus and species stuff.

    It took about 10 minutes with this guy before he felt comfortable enough to let me come close. I'm not usually a bug shooter but he looked so beautiful I thought I'd give it a try.

    Isn't it amazing that small creatures like this have such nice coloring! Sure makes the world of photography a more interesting place! Nice capture, John!!
