ISO1600 - dark - handheld - OK shots

Discussion in 'Nikon DX DSLR Forum' started by Elf_8, Dec 25, 2005.

  1. The D200 was part of Christmas Eve - yesterday. These two were shot handheld at 1/25 and 1/15th, f3.5, ISO 1600. WB set at incandescent. Almost no postprocessing involved here. Originals in JPG Large Fine, Mode II. Converted into sRGB and resized in PS - that's about it.
Coming from the D70, I feel quite happy with the result.

glad your liking your new D200 :>))

  3. Thanks Gale. My fascination here is with the noise. Of course, if you look at the pict at 100%, you get pretty coarse textures, but at this size posted here, I find it very pleasing. Just a note, auto Noise Reduction was On - within the camera settings.
