When you purchase the TC's for your 300, I recommend hunting up a store front when they will let you try them out with your lens and camera. Go prepared, bringing your tripod or bean bag, camera body and 300. Shoot MLU and remote release if you camera body permits so you can record what the glass can do without worrying about shutter slap or any other movement. Test each TC until you are satisfied.

Or you could save that $1000-$1200 and use it as a downpayment on a 400mm AFS II f2.8! :biggrin:
