Jailbird

    This GBH was standing in the shade right behind my fence yesterday so I snapped a couple of shots from the only perspective I could get -- through the fence. Looks like he's in jail or something.

    Not the perfect perspective, but certainly well done considering what you had to work with. Did you focus this one manually? Just wondering how you got the birdie in focus through the bars.

    Wish I had GBH's in my back yard. :?

    Hi, Frank. Yes, this one had to be focused manually - the camera kept selecting the fence bars if I moved the slightest bit. Exposure was also tough -- bird in deep shadow of a magnolia tree on a brilliant sunny morning. That's why the pond in the background is so bright. This guy is here all the time, so it's fun at times to try to get unusual perspectives like this on him.
