  3. Very cool - I like the space at the top of the frame, I think it takes a certain compositional confidence to not attempt to fill the frame all the time. Like the vignetting too in the corners.

    The one thing I'm not quite sure on is the softness of it - sometimes I look and think it's perfect, sometimes I think José could be a bit sharper.

    Thank you Rodney. Thanks John, I like the composition and background too, and the softness of the subject's face drives me nuts! This is a major disadvantage of using a manual focus camera with infrared film - the actual focus of the lens in near ir is a little bit behind the focus I see. I didn't compensate here. I attempted to 'fix it in post' with a little bit of smart sharpen, but I think it's too grainy:
