Juanita Beach GBH

Discussion in 'Birds' started by Louis Champan, Oct 13, 2005.

  1. Most of the time you can find something happening at Juanita. Last week caught this GBH in close. Shot with a D70 & 300mm w/TC1.4.

And these guys seemed to be everywhere that day.

    Very nice Ben..

Wood ducks are so pretty. I only see them at the zoo.

However, I found they are not a walk in the park to photograph :>)) Just me I am sure.

I also really like and look for reflections.

It looks like most of your current picutures are shot with the 300. Did you buy one yet and if so which did you go with. I too like the herons with the reflections. Was this from last Saturday? When I got there the heron was gone and only one wood duck was around but it was sure fun to see up close.

I may go again on Saturday if the weather is ok. Let me know if you can make it and maybe we can hook up. Nice job.
  5. I really like the first shot! Great composition and interesting pose!! Are you still planning on coming to FL?

Very nice Louis. Gale is right. The Wood Ducks are tough to expose properly. The white area is very easy to blow out.

    Good job.
