Even a plain old hen looks good in the right situation. Nice water is hard to beat for surroundings/BG. And a sharp reflection never hurts.

The simplicity of the water and the details in the duck add up to a quiet sort of stunning.
Thanks, Mike. This one is definitely my preferred style with the subject isolated.
She really stands out in that perfect water.
Thanks for commenting, Allan. The color and texture of the water surface makes a huge difference in an image. And of course it's something that we have no control over.
Well done. She's a beauty.
Thanks, Bill. Even the simplest things in creation can be quite beautiful.
Great job!!
Thanks, Terri.

You sure caught the exact right moment to push the trigger, super shot.
Thanks, Louie.
Just a duck but an excellent photo Dan, I love everything in the image.
Thanks, Binnur. If conditions never changed one could set the camera on a tripod focused on that spot and wait for the critters to pass through. But the unique conditions of every moment in time is one of the things that makes nature photography so compelling. There's no going back to re-shoot. Once a moment has passed, it's gone. That exact scene will never repeat itself.
