Just a few Egrets

Discussion in 'Birds' started by Phil K, Jul 22, 2007.

  1. I am envied when I saw the variety of birds you guys are posting. The winter birds had long gone and right now we only have Egrets and some Herons at our usual spot. If I need to see more shore birds, I have to drive a long long way and I can't do it regularly. So, just practicing with the 800mm to get some Egret shots.

Nothing wrong with egrets Phil. I think they are a very beautiful and interesting bird and you have some nice images here. I like all the curves in #3 especially.

Wowsers Phil, you did a nice job here. I followed this post from another with the the moon and a pic of the 500 and 800, how do you carry this 800? It sure does the job!

  14. That's quite a wing span on that last bird. Nice shot Phil.
  15. Thank you very much Stephanie. Here is how I carry the 800mm. I don't need to walk a long distance from the car so the weight is not much of a problem.

Thank you very much Mike.

  16. Frame the last one Phil I think it is THAT good!
  17. Nice series Phil, you are definitely making good progress with your bird photography. Love the last one but would probably clone out the distraction in the upper part of the frame. Well done my friend.
