Debbie, very nice series of shots. Just curious, did you use a fill flash or is this just natural light. - Jeff

Jeff, I use fill flash 99% of the time. I am surrounded by very large Oak trees which block out some of the sun light. I shoot in manual mode most of the time with flash exposure compensation set to a -1 to - 2 to keep from blowing out light color in the birds. I like to shoot with the sun behind the birds but not when the sun is high. This way the sun light will keep the background from turning out too dark. The fill flash will provide just enough light for the birds plus it will give them a catch lite in their eyes.

Thanks Debbie for the response, I was pretty sure the twinkle in the eye was from a flash, finally got one for my camera. Am very interested in using it for Macro shots and the few bird shots I take. - Jeff

Your welcome, Jeff. I just got my macro lens last Thursday and I am loving it. It has to be one of the sharpest lens I have.

    Thanks, Andy.
