Just a gull

  1. This was taken with the old 300/4 handheld. I think it is the first time the 500 has been off the camera.

  5. I normally am not for a square crop but in this case the sky was so nice I wanted to give the bird more space and restricted to 800 pixels the square crop seemed to work.

    This just goes to show that even a "plain old gull" can look spectacular with a perfect capture. Cudos!! :smile:

  10. I like this image! Good composition and capture. There is a small halo on the belly of the gull, otherwise perfect processing.

  12. Nice one Gary. I agree that gulls can be very photogenic, they are fun to shoot - and plentiful.
