Just got to Estes Park

Discussion in 'Birds' started by Crayaco, Oct 17, 2005.

  1. We are on vacation in Estes Park. We got into the condo and
    looked out front.

I took this by just throwing up the camera and taking the shot. So
it is not the greatest. Especially the harsh light behind the Elk.

I think you did an outstanding job on a really tough shot. Most would have gotten a dark outline of the Elk. Too bad about the harsh background, but that's the shot that was there.

    Well done.
  3. Thanks Frank. We are heading up into Rocky Mountain National Park
tomorrow in hopes to seeing Moose.

We drove through the park today and I took over 100 landscape pictures.

Sure looking forward to a little relaxation.

    Super shot Ray.

Nice looking animal and that rack wow. Good job on that catch.
  5. Ray, what a wonderful place to have a vacation! Estes Park is a magnificent National Park with incredible scenery. I think it is often overlooked as a place to visit, but I fell in love with it many years ago. If this is what you got just looking out the window of your condo, I can hardly wait to see the rest of your shots!

  6. This is our third day here and it is snowing but still got some pics this morning.

Thanks Gale. We took a few more pics in RMNP that I will post later. The racks on the ones in the park were bigger. I am going to try some PP to get rid of the background.

Virginia we love Estes Park. We hope to retire in the area some day.
