Bear with me, I am still on cloud nine after getting my 85/1.4

I have noticed one thing. The DOF at f/1.4 is so shallow that manual focus is almost a necessity unless you are close enough to get the focus where you want it. As an example, if you get the eyelashes in focus, the eyeball is not infocus, it's that narrow.

Yeah, she's already asking why I keep pointing 'that thing' in her face! 'THAT THING"! I ask you! She really doesn't appreciate the 85/1.4 at all

Good shots there, great depth of field in them. I recognise that expression in the last one !

Nice job with the 85/1.4. I love the bubble shots. I've yet to reach "cloud nine" with my 85, but it's growing on me.

Thanks Fred! I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon, at least before my family disown me for pointing the lens at them at every opportunity
