Great catch for the both of you..
Thanks Bob. Upon close inspection, dinner is a ground Squirrel that the locals refer to as "picket pens". I'm not sure why they call them that but they are a nuisance this time of the year and enjoy digging up yards and gardens. I would hire this Eagle for both photographic opportunities and to rid us of the picket pen damage.

They can be very efficient for culling purposes. I personally preferred to have the Great Horned Owl in the yard a couple years ago, which not only kept the squirrels shaking in their tails , but had a taste for skunk!
