Juvenile ospreys...as close as you can get!

Discussion in 'Birds' started by Anthony747, Jun 29, 2007.

  1. Hi All, As some of you may know today I was lucky enough to photograph some Juvenal ospreys getting banded today. Here's a few shots. I'll have the good, bad and the ugly write up and many additional photos early next week.

    Thanks for looking, Anthony

I'm surprised the little guys didn't 'claw' you real good! . Even as juvies, this birds have really strong and sharp claws. Any pics of your hands afterwards?

Wow Anthony. I'm also amazed at how calm they look. I would have thought that they would be much more aggressive about trying to get free.

    Excellent set.

  8. Hi Gale, They were both rather calm but the parents were another story!
