Juvenile Water Vole up close and personal

I have spent a considerable amount of time following a family of Water Voles, not easy to get close too, they are however blind as a bat and only get skittish if they feel vibration or you happen to be upwind of them, then their little noses warn them of danger

I never heard of a water vole. Really interesting info about them, and a very sweet image! Thanks!

Thanks Dossy, they have been decimated here in the UK due to loss of habitat and pesticides, I am so lucky to have a reserve on my door step that has a thriving population, although a protected species, sadly they are also often mistaken for rats.
