Took some pictures of a friends K20 DC2 Integra for a online magazine feature. Has been a while since i've taken some static car shots so i was a bit rusty lol plus it was the first time i've tried using some off camera flash. Any C&C is appreciated!

I'm pretty sure because of the k20 motor (rsx) the hood doesn't fit flush.
Actually, I believe it's on purpose. It was/is a fad in the Honda community, stacking washers underneath the hood bolts to create a "raised" look. I was never a fan (Once a heavy honda Fanboy).

i like #5 and #9.
Thanks!

would the cf hood benefit from a CP filter? It has a ton of glare.
Yes it probably would, however i only had a CP for one lens...

The flash hotspots killed the shots for me, beautiful car though! Gotta love that N/A power!
Thanks! ~220whp + the weight of a DC2 and you got yourself a little beast lol.
Yeah i'm still trying to workout how to light the car without those hotspots :frown:

Nice... but is the hood supposed to be slightly open or does it just not fit well?

Like Max713 said, it's stacked washers underneath the hood bolts. Apparently it helps heat escape the engine bay or something. I personally don't like it but it ain't my car lol

Well, none of these shots, save for the interior shots call for a flash. A longer shutter speed while on a tripod would have rendered much better results!
If your dead set on using the flash on the autos, you need to really dial down the power, and add a soft box.

Mmmmm 220whp N/A... that and the light shell are a match made in heaven!

Guess i'll be buying a softbox then lol. At least in this location i couldn't really use a longer shutterspeed as there was a green light that was screwing around with the colors....

Yeah it's kinda ridiculous, first and second gear are useless lol
