This shot was taken on the Delaware River in New Jersey. The water was 50 degrees, but this guy could care less - he was having a blast!

Curious, that looks like you took it using a prime (If i'm reading your List of lenses right)

If so, How did you add the zooming blur afterwards?

Great action shot, and perfect treatment to convey the feeling...

As an aside, I love to see white-water kayakers wearing brain buckets.

Yea, all post processing in PS. I used the 18-55 lens for the shot.

Excellent action capture Fred, I could accept a framed copy anytime
Thanks Panos. $25 for 5x7 matted........ Just kidding. I am flattered though.

Very good
Is that the zoom filter in PS by chance
Thanks Gale. Yes exactly - you hit the nail on the head. Also selective color using the art history brush

Thanks! This guy was 19 years old, and he was fearless. There were rocks all over the place AND he was hitting his helmet on the rocks. Glad I was on the side with my D50.

Cool shot neat technique I like it from one New Jersian to another
Many thanks Mike. You are about 25 mins from me....very cool.
