Well, at least I got home this afternoon...... It will take a while before I'm "really" back, and again I can't express to you all how much it meant to Anne and I to have such great support, and so many calls! As reported, I have 6-weeks of IV therapy to go. I'm hooked up to a pump 24-hours a day. Ironically, it took the infection getting worse (and, worse it did get) before finally creating an abscess, that enabled the Drs to be able to culture it and find the right antibiotics. Also, the infection interered with my marrow in creating Hemaglobin (a "normal" occurrence in severe infections), so it dropped to 10. (NormalValue, Male: 13.8 to 17.2 gm/dl). That makes me very tired..... but hopefully I'll begin to produce some more and won't need a transfusion. I'm two-times lucky. Once to have made it to this point, and twice for having such good friends like you all out there. PS Anne's results were A-okay!
