I recently bought the 85mm 1.8G and really love this lens.
We visited some friends on the weekend and of course I take full advantage of the opportunity to practice my 'people photography' and they enjoy the pictures of their kids taken on something other than a phone :)

This one was taken at iso 5600.
Focus is not 100% but I like it anyway.

Usually when we get there everything is reasonably quiet but when it's time to leave I have their kids all hyped up running around screaming as we quietly slip out and drive home :)

Wait...no exploding kids? :D

Desmond, these look really nice. Sweet shots. That was my favorite lens for shooting portraits.

Not yet :)
The 85mm 1.8G would be my "70-200" for wedding photography. It's lighter, faster and with 24 megapixels I would just crop to "200mm" :)
