Kind of Dead out there.

  1. It was really slow birding but I wanted to check out new location.

    I really like the pose and light on the second one.
    I like to shoot the black vulture as well
    We have alot of both

  4. You know until you mentioned it I had not looked up the Black Vulture I just thought they were a young Turkey vulture. We have a overabundance of both!!!

    Man those Red-headed Woodpeckers are really bulking up aren't they? Must be all those green slimy things they have been eating. :biggrin::tongue:

    I know these birds serve a very important purpose and your photographs are excellent!

  8. I wasn't aware that we have two vultures down there Until Gale mentioned it. This is a turkey vulture and there are Black vultures also. I guess I just thought the dark birds very young Turkey.

  15. Nice shots Gary, but I wouldn't go so far as saying this guy is cute, but nonethless great shots.
  16. Thanks Jimmy, We have some of those blacks as well but I don't think they make as good of a picture, Unless you take them then you make them GREAT!!!
