Kite Surfers

A nice windy day the other weekend which usually guarantees that there will be kite surfers out and about at the local beach, so off I popped with the D60 and Sigma 70-300 to see what I could get.

Ok, so the English South coast isn't exactly known for it's massive waves and being an 'English' summer the sunlight was fleeting, but considering how much the wind was blowing me about, I'm fairly happy with the results.

Great pics. I've taken pictures of kite surfers before in Florida in the Tampa Bay area but I just hate trying to get the kite and the surfer in together. It's so hard to make it look right.

If some of you haven't seen this before, it is very difficult. I saw a few people really struggling in South Florida trying to get their kite up and themselves moving while the pros went up and down the coastline. Takes a lot of balance, correct kite position, and practice.
