Week 28: IWC Clock Museum

I visited the IWC clock museum in Schaffhausen / Switzerland last Wednesday.

(1) First digital pocket watch made in 1888. Three years later IWC took it out of production. Reason: You've should not read the time, but experience it.

Week 30: In the meadows

I had an adventure of a lifetime...
Going out to shoot dragonflies I realized a meadow full of butterflies. It must have been 200 to 300 hundred.
Mainly Swallowtails and Foxes that are very rare in my region.

Everytime a car rolled by (which was rare) the whole swarm flew up and settled down after a short time.
I'm still fascinated...

Week 31: Top of Germany

We have visited the highest mountain in Germany - the Zugspitze.
The summit is 2962m high - aprox. 9000ft.

(1) We went up with a cog railroad and the last part with a smaller (normal size) cablecar.

(3) Going up to the summit you'll notice the Schneefernerhaus, a scientific institution. The summit is to the right.

We went down with the new gigantic cable car. The exciting thing - it has a glass bottom...

The summit is a tourist trap, but worth visiting it once in a lifetime.

Last weekend we visited the city of Scheidegg. There's an interesting place called "Skywalk" or "Tree Top Walk".
