That's great that you are able to spend time with Emma and that the infection rate is so low in your area! It will be a while yet before in the DC area we begin to loosen up on some of the current restrictions, as there are still too many people falling ill and being hospitalized. No one wants to open up things too soon and then have a backlash and severe surge of more illness.
Connie,
several shops were allowed to open again since Monday, barbers, stationary shops etc. But the safety distance of approx. 1.5 to 2 m have to be respected.
Next week restaurants will open again, with safety distance too. That means there are only the half amount of tables. How I wish to take a breakfast on a weekend morning at the Lake.
Hopefully the infection rate will not increase...

Kind regards
Klaus

Here we are watching to see what happens with some of the states which have begun reopening in the US: everyone is hoping for the best but concerned that the worst may occur, as people have already shown signs of being too eager to ignore the moderate restrictions which are still in place, even in those states. I saw a photo on another site of a pier at a beach which has just been reopened, and the pier was littered with disposable drinks cups and other detritus.....and, yes, waste bins were available nearby! Also, there have been situations even in some of the "hot zone" areas where people dutifully put on a mask to go to the grocery store, and then as soon as they are outdoors again and the shopping finished, they casually pull off the mask and toss it -- sometimes it doesn't land in a trash can and instead winds up on the ground.....as the perpetrator carelessly goes his or her merry way.

It's a real dilemma for everyone, as the economy is being drastically affected by these closures and yet it is still risky to open things up again.....
