Kodak survey

  1. Got this email from kodak today:

"Relevance of Film in the 21st Century?"

A Survey of Professional Film and Digital usage

As a professional photographer you've seen a lot of changes in recent years. We'd like to get a snapshot of what's being used by professionals today.

The survey asked if I used digital, how much digital and film do I use, what type of work do I do, etc. Then it seemed to concentrate on questions about B&W products and do I plan to continue using film.

With Kodak's cutting back on B&W papers, I wonder if they're looking at the prospects of getting out of B&W completely.

Well then, say YES that you use and intend on continuing to use B&W film!

  3. I did, because I do :) I don't use Kodak, but I didn't tell them that (nor did they ask).

  4. I think you're right about them evaluating their market; they got out of making slide projectors a couple years ago, and the various film niches are going to be next.
