I don't remember the context, or I'd go post in the original thread, but a month or so ago, I was asked where to get large polarizers for holding in front of lights in order to acheive the 'crossed polarizer effect' for eliminating specular reflections when photographing shiny objects. Well, I finally found them thanks to a pointer on another thread to Edmund Optics.

Here are the filters I use for crossed polarizer illumination:

I would assume that is the old Edmund Scientific. Man, I could spend lots of money there!! I remember as a kid looking at all the neat stuff in their catalogue, I wanted it all!!! (Okay, okay, so I had a pocket-protector, what of it???)
