This is our last meet of the season....Some captures from tonights roundup........
its that time of year again! - time to hibernate those old cars....
Nice work with the wide angle - sometimes its the best way to get cars at a show.
Thanks Dave! I went out armed with my new 24-70 but found it was too long for most shots. I went back to the Tokina 11-16 "streetsweeper" for most of these images........
I gotta say that the '68 Super Stock Dart has my attention!
This is a factory Hemi car built to run 1/4 at a time. According to the owner this is one of 3 cars where Chrysler messed up installing the rear qtr. panels and designated them to race applications. The history is a bit sketchy on this one but it has burned up some asphalt in Boston and surrounding areas.
All the real SS cars had the real wheel openings cut to get the bigger tire in there - the story sounds believable that a messed up quarter going to a cut up drag car.
Those things were 10 second cars from the factory in '68... WOW!
Just watched them run at Atco this weekend!
Nice work Ted. Must be time to put the cars away for a while, as its getting cold here so must really be getting into late fall up there.
Love the 67 Corvette coupe, the last year for Corvettes until the C6 came out. Does remind me of one I had for awhile, and the also my fav color for the 63-67 Vettes.
