My wife and I hiked at one of our favorite wildflower areas today and found several interesting specimens.

These are really nice, Jim! A couple of the species I've never seen before or maybe have only seen in photographs, so it's cool to see them now. That Leather Flower in particular is most intriguing.....

Thanks, Connie. The leather flower is a special find. My wife spotted one there several years ago and we always look in the same place every year, but it is hard to find!

Beautiful, Jim. These are species I don't remember seeing here.

Thanks, Terri. Some of these may be unique to the eastern U.S. but you probably have "cousins" out west.

Gorgeous close-ups (and IDs) as always, Jim (and Beth!).

Thanks, Eric. You are correct that Mrs. T. provides the IDs.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Mike.

Very nice Jim. The Lady's Slippers look almost like orchids.

Thanks, Ron. They should look like orchids because they are!

Great shot on all of the wildflowers Jim! The pink lady's slippers are my favorite. So lovely!
