What level of brightness do you have your LCD set to??

  2. Hi Don.

It depends on the brightness of the environment. Outside on a sunny day, I usually set +2, on a cloudy day +1, and 0 (zero) when shooting indoors at daytime.

I always use the "blinkies" when considering the exposure, so it is crutial to me that they are clearly visible.

    Regards

    Mattes

PS: Same settings as above with D300, D700, D3

That is what I seem to want to use as well.

If it is higher than that (-1 or above) the pic seems brighter than the the actual scene.

    Has anyone else noticed that??

I've had that impression as well lately, pretty much since I've started shooting jpg in fact (don't know if there's any correlation though). I'll try turning down the brightness and see what happens.
