Leaf on a Rainy Day

Discussion in 'Retouching and Post Processing' started by beaucamera, Dec 1, 2005.

  1. We're having a BIG rain storm today. Our winter is finally here and the hills are starting to go from gold to green. I caught this leaf on the path with my Sigma 105 and then, thanks to JP for the inspiration, used the PS polar coordinates filter to create this, "Leaf on a Rainy Day"?

    Hi Virginia

    I think that is great.

Really nice feel to the work - sort of like a magazine shot.

    Really nice.

    Best wishes

  3. This IS a nice photo Virginia - I like the way the water turned out in the background as well.

  4. Thanks, Ray and Diane. The water was a photo I took a while back, also in the rain. I thought it made a nice complement to leaf patterns.

  5. Well Virginia, that's what one can call knowing and using Photoshop  !
I'm not yet at this level of playing with different layers... the result is very nice !!! MORE ?!?

    Cheers,
    J-P.

    very nice Virginia.

I like the tan leaf and blue color. They really compliment each other. Love the J_P trick also :>))

  7. Beautiful, Virginia. A very nice variation of the technique.

Darn it! I like it, and now I'm going to have to try out the technique!
